PHRM 506: Public Health
- 3 Credit hours – 128 practice hours minimum
- Offered during the first year of the curriculum.
Course Goals: Introduction to Professional Skills and Advocacy

PHRM 512: IPPE I Community
PHRM 641: IPPE II Hospital
PHRM 642: IPPE III Community/Hospital/Other
Course Goals: Introduction to the practice of Pharmacy in the Community, Hospital and other sites.
Advanced Practice Course
PHRM 707: Advanced Public Health
- 5 credit hours-240 practice hours minimum
- Offered during the third year of the curriculum
Course Goals: Gain practice and knowledge of the role of the pharmacist in community and population health topics.
Advanced Pharmacy Practice Course
PHRM 743: APPE I Ambulatory Care
PHRM 744: APPE II Community
PHRM 745: APPE III Institutional
PHRM 746: APPE IV Internal Medicine
- Total: 20 credit hours-1200 practice hours minimum
- Offered during the third and fourth year of the curriculum
Course Goals: Gain practice, and integration and application of knowledge and acquisition of new knowledge and skills in a variety of community and hospital, and other settings where pharmacists practice.
Advance Practice Electives
PHRM Elective (3 needed for completion of program)
- Total: 15 credit hours – 480 practice hours minimum
- Offered during the third and fourth year of the curriculum
Course Goals: Gain practice, and integration and application of knowledge and acquisition of new knowledge and skills in a variety of community and hospital, and other settings where pharmacists practice within a specific concentration.
