The Department of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences is a vibrant and diverse team of faculty with expertise in medicinal chemistry, immunology, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics and drug delivery.

Department Goals

Our educational goal is to provide Touro College of Pharmacy students with a strong background in the biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences, which will serve as a foundation for their understanding of pharmacy principles throughout the curriculum and their career. Our research goal is to contribute to the body of knowledge in the biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences as well as in pharmacy education research. Fostering such research, our faculty collaborate at various institutions including Columbia University, Long Island University, and St. John’s University. In addition to our research and teaching pursuits, PBS Faculty are proud to serve our community of Harlem through a variety of volunteer activities including health fairs, educational demonstrations, and mission trips to Haiti.

The Department’s teaching commitment includes courses that span the entire breadth of areas in the pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences including courses in the following:
